Club President Handover 2011

Outgoing Lions Club President Sean Duggan handed over the chain of office to incoming President John Doran at the July Lions Club meeting. The outgoing President thanked all the members for their support and work throughout the year.
 
 

President John Doran began by thanking Sean for all the work done in the past year. John said that Sean had been a very effective president and because of him the Club is more invigorated, structured and stronger. John plans to carry on the mission of Sean and develop the Club further with the help and support of the members throughout the year. 

The meeting also acknowledged the excellent job done by Brian Thoma over the past few years as Club Secretary. Brian is succeeded by incoming secretary Conor Phelan. Stephen Lawlor remains on as Club Treasurer.  After the meeting, club members and their partners met in the Abbey bar & restaurant for a buffet supper and some liquid refreshment.
