Carrigaline Lions at MD Convention
Hundreds of members of Lions Clubs from all over Ireland and the UK gathered in Belfast last weekend for the Multiple District Convention. Their parent body Lions International has over 1.3 million members in 200 countries and is the world’s largest group providing community service, from Christmas food appeals to fundraising for disaster relief and initiatives to help local communities. The Lord Mayor of Belfast Cllr Pat Convery welcomed delegates at the Waterfront Hall on Saturday morning. Several members of Carrigaline & District Lions Club attended the event including IPDG James O’Sullivan, Lion Bill Teap and Lion Donal Browning.
