Visit to Herne Lions Club

museum.jpgMembers of the Carrigaline Lions Club visited the Herne Lions Club in Germany from the 12th to the 14th of May. These two clubs are twinned with each other and this was the third visit by Carrigaline members to Herne. The Carrigaline guests received a very warm welcome and experienced tremendous hospitality from their German hosts. The visit included trips to the German mining museum and the famous city of Munster and also included a formal dinner with our friends from Herne and Wanne-Eickel. During the visit, the group from Carrigaline were introduced to children from one of the schools in Herne. It is hoped to establish a link between this school and the community school in Carrigaline.
