Carrigaline & District Lions Club organised a coffee morning last Saturday in aid of the Jack & Jill Foundation. The event was held in the Carrigaline Court Hotel and was well attended by people from the Carrigaline area. The Jack & Jill Foundation provides care and support for children with severe neurological development issues, as well as offering some respite to their parents and families. The Lions club was fortunate to have Jonathan Irwin, CEO and one of the founders of Jack & Jill in atendance last Saturday. Jonathan gave a very moving talk about the problems faced by parents of children born with severely debilitating conditions based on the experience of his own son Jack. The event was very kindly sponsored by Heronswood Childcare Centre.
